Upon registration, each participant will receive a home study kit (study manual & test) and a Minimum Impact Camping Experience (MICE) booklet. You should review the study book prior to the planning session. Don’t forget, you must complete and return the home study test ten days prior to the planning session.
Planning Session: Participants will meet with experienced camp trainers to get their questions answered and prepare for the camp experience. Groups will plan camp meals at this session, and participants will receive assignments at this time. Bring: To Planning Session – Home Study Kit, Safety-Wise copy from your troop.
Overnight Camping Experience: Camp Greene, Saturday, June 14 at 9:00 am. to Sunday June 15 at 9:00 am.
Participants will: • experience camping in a tent or lodge (varies by season) • learn to safely build a fire • prepare a meal over a fire • take care of camp & equipment • plan outdoor activities • use “girl-adult planning” process for outdoor activities
